OZmap has a 5G module with equipment that allows you to document your network in the system. This module can be purchased separately, so if you are interested, just contact us through our support chat or this link.
In this article, we will show you how to structure equipment in the POP.
Tower
To insert a tower into your POP, you need to click on the button with the '+' symbol and choose the 'New tower' option.
When you click on the button, a window will open where you can fill in all the information about the tower. In addition to the name, type, and level, it is also mandatory to fill in the height information in the 'Building height' and 'Tower height' fields. The other fields, such as Tags, Label, etc., are optional.
After filling in all the information about your tower and clicking 'save', it will be created within POP.
Sector
To add a sector to your tower, simply click on the '+' icon highlighted in the image.
To create the sector, a window will open with the information that needs to be filled in. To add a radio to the sector during its creation, you must create this radio previously, but it is also possible to add it after creating your sector, just click on “edit” in the pencil icon.
Antennas
All mandatory information will appear in red. In the case of the sector, it is mandatory to fill in the information about the antenna type, name, and also the technical data of this antenna in degrees (Tilt, Azimuth, and elevation angle). The height is considered the height of the antenna to the ground, compared to the total height of the tower on which it is located.
When filling in the antenna type, the data for that type will appear for you to check the information (just click on the '+' symbol next to the name 'Type data'), if you want to create a new antenna type, just go to the side menu of your OZmap in 'types' and click on 'antennas'.
If you want to link or represent communication between towers, use the link field to add this information, specifying the desired towers and antennas. You can also enter the sector status as 'implanted' and identify whether there is diverse antenna communication by selecting the 'Diversity' field.
Battery
To add a battery to your POP, simply go to the desired cabinet and click on the “+” button highlighted in the image. A screen will open with several devices for you to choose from. Just select the 'Battery' option and enter your battery information, such as type, serial number, date of manufacture, etc.
Radio
The process of inserting a radio into the cabinet is the same as for the battery, just select the 'Radio' option in the equipment type instead of battery and fill in your radio's information such as type, name, capacity, etc.
Once created, you can insert it into the tower sector by clicking on the edit button (pencil icon) highlighted in the image and selecting the desired radio.
This is how the tower will be represented on the map:
To check the connection between the towers, you need to access the map tools and select the 'show links' option. The links are represented by a dotted line connecting the towers.
By hovering your mouse over the dotted line you can see the names of the antennas, and by clicking on them the sectors of both towers will open.
