Passage boxes are elements used to house cable connections and distribution equipment underground, facilitating network maintenance and expansion. In OZmap, they behave similarly to boxes, and their characteristics define their type (for more information about the type of passage boxes, click here). In addition to type, they also have attributes such as name, deployment status, color, and comments. The image below illustrates the possible characteristics of a passage box within the system.

Creating a passage box

To create a passage box, you need to access the "Network Expansion" menu on the map and click on the fifth option, highlighted in the image. If you want to create more than one passage box at the same time, simply click on the option on the right side.

When positioning the passage box on the map, a screen will open where you can enter information such as the name, type, deployment status, and more.

The interior is initially represented by a square that will contain the representation of each face of the passage box. The name of each of these sides can be changed by right-clicking on the current name and selecting "Edit faces."

É possível visualizar caixas, cabos e dutos dentro dela, caso estejam vinculados. Na imagem abaixo, mostramos como é a visualização de um cabo aéreo que se torna subterrâneo e entra no duto:

It is possible to visualize boxes, cables, and ducts inside it, if they are linked. In the image below, we show the visualization of an aerial cable that becomes subterranean and enters the duct:

The tools available within the passage box are:

  1. Rotate clockwise.

  2. Light to the left/right.

  3. Center box design.

  4. Export diagram in PNG/PDF.

  5. Add post-it.

  6. Remove element.
