OZmap works with the concept of roles. When a new user is registered, they are assigned a role, and this role will determine their access to specific parts of the system
By default, the system has seven roles, which are:
- Administrator – Has full access to the system;
- Manager – Similar to the administrator, but does not have permission to edit user settings, import, delete, or download backups;
- Seller – Default user for using OZloc. They can perform general edits in the Clients, Gated Communities, Properties, and Prospects sections, and are also able to view boxes and poles, as well as edit cables;
- Network Technician – Responsible for working on the network, the network technician can create and edit projects (but not delete them). They are also able to view, edit, create, and import all elements, with access restricted only to managerial information such as system settings and dashboard data;
- Field Technician – Responsible for activating clients, they have permission to add, edit, and delete them. They can also view basic elements, edit boxes, and create and delete poles;
- Monitor – The monitor has restricted access limited to viewing only. They can consult all system elements but cannot make edits or view them internally;
- Support – Has permission to view basic information and edit clients.
To edit an existing role, simply go to the “Settings” option in the right sidebar menu, then click on “Role”, and just check or uncheck the desired permissions for each user.
Next to each option, there is a question mark icon that, when hovered over, displays what each item does.
When you finish the settings, just click “Save”.
New Roles
If you want to create a new role, you’ll need to select the “New Role” button, and a new section will appear.
In it, you can set a name for the role by clicking the edit icon, as shown in the image, and select the permissions as desired.
Feasibility and Drop Size Differentiated by User Profile
This feature allows you to set drop size and search radius by user role, to be used in OZloc. For example, a seller can sell to clients with a drop radius of up to 250 meters, managers up to 500 meters, and administrators up to 1000 meters, or check box feasibility.
To set the default drop size or radius, simply click the “Edit Role” icon, the same one shown in the previous image, on roles that have seller permissions (like those mentioned above). A screen like the one below will appear; just configure the default size and click OK.
The roles will display the default drop size and search radius next to their names, as shown below.
