In this section, you’ll learn how to configure the main features of your system.
Levels – POP
Here, you can configure the POP levels that will be used in projects and will function as layers for map display. By default, the system comes with the "CO" level already created, but you can edit it according to your needs.
Levels – Box
In this section, you can configure the box levels or groups to be used in projects, which will serve as layers for map visualization. By default, the system includes HUB and CSP as predefined box groups, but these can be edited to meet specific requirements.
Levels – Cable
Similar to boxes, cables are named by default as: PHASE I, PHASE II, PHASE III, and drop. These fields can also be edited, and new ones can be created as needed.
Levels – Tower
Tower levels work the same way as other levels. By default, a PRIMARY level is already available, but you can add more levels or rename existing ones as needed. Towers are exclusively part of the OZmap 5G Module. For more information, click here.
Maps
In this section, you can add additional maps to OZmap. By default, the system includes 3 maps that cannot be deleted, but you may add more if needed. To do so, simply provide a name and specify the map URL.
The maps will appear in the layer panel on the right side of your project. For more details on how to add new map layers, click here.
OZrender
There are four settings available in this section: font size, font size in comments, whether to display pole names in the sketch, and the map type.
When exporting the image of a box or a sketch, the exported image will reflect the configurations defined here.
Box Editor
The Box Editor has two settings:
Client Identifier
You can choose which client information will be displayed inside the boxes. The options are:
Name
Code
Drop name
This setting allows multiple selections, meaning you can display more than one piece of information at the same time.
Highlight Elements on Hover
When this option is enabled, map elements will be automatically highlighted when you hover over them within the box.
This customization must be performed by the OZmap technical team. To request activation, contact us via the support chat.
POP Level
In this field, you can create and edit your POP levels, which, like other levels, will serve as layers to be displayed on the map.
API
This section has two settings: the default search radius (in meters), a feature used by OZloc that defines the distance for searching poles once the client location is provided; and the Google API Key, which will be used for various system actions, such as assigning element addresses, elevation, 3D length, among other functionalities.
Adjacency
In this section, you can define the color of poles that have no adjacency.
Default Drop Cable
In this field, you can define which type of cable will serve as the default drop, which can be any cable listed under "Cable Types.
Elevation
When this option is enabled, the system will use elevation data from the region to calculate a more accurate cable length, taking altitude into account. A registered Google API key is required for the system to perform this operation.
Cable Routing
These settings help improve visualization when cables have multiple intersections. The following three options are available:
Highlight cables/poles on hover: Allows easier identification of the desired cable when hovering over it.
Avoid cable intersection: Ensures that cables passing through the same pole do not overlap.
Highlight points on poles: When multiple cables pass through the same pole, points are represented by small circles in the color corresponding to each cable, indicating their connections.
Logo
Adding an image in this setting will replace the default OZmap images with a custom logo. This logo will be used in generating box diagrams, sketches, project summaries, and in the project selection area.
Slacks
Allows you to choose the color in which your slack storage will be displayed on the map.
Name Layer
This setting allows you to customize the display of element names on the map and set the priority of the client attribute to be shown (name, code, or address).
To modify this setting, contact our technical team via the support chat, as this customization must be performed by our specialists.
Storage
The storage section shows how much system memory has been used by the images added to the posts, along with the remaining available space.
OZloc
For more information about your OZloc settings, refer to this article.
Light
We recommend selecting brighter colors so that the highlighting stands out from cables, boxes, and poles. Once these settings are configured, simply save them to activate the changes.
LDAP Server
OZmap allows configuring an LDAP server for unified logins. To set up your server, select the Use LDAP login option and enter your server-specific details.
The search attribute and search filter are pre-filled with default settings.
After selecting the use of the LDAP server, you must create users in OZmap with the same login/username as on your server. The password creation option will no longer appear in OZmap, as login will be handled using the server password.
