The metrics tool is used within the system to calculate the path between two elements.
To use the tool, simply access Network Tools through the side menu and select "Metrics".
With this, a new window will open, just select the starting and ending elements using their respective buttons and indicate how the calculation will be carried out, whether by cable or by the shortest path. When you do this, you will be given the total distance between the selected points, as in the image below:

Cable metrics calculate the distance between elements following a route where there is already a cable running between them. They are used to calculate distances between any type of point, be it boxes, posts, customers, or POPs, among others.
Shortest Path Metrics
Unlike cable metrics, the shortest path will calculate the shortest path between poles through project adjacencies. It can only be used between two posts.
