You can now document your cables without needing an element at either end!

In previous versions, cables had to be connected to elements (such as boxes, POPs, or vertical buildings) at both ends, since it wasn’t possible to create cables without endpoints. However, that changed with version 1.35.0!

Although it's still not possible to create or import cables without endpoints directly, you can now remove the ends of existing cables without them being automatically deleted from the map along with their endpoints. This process can be done either manually or in bulk.

To make it easier to remove cable endpoints, we recommend creating boxes with the type or level set to “end of cable”. This way, you can easily identify which boxes to remove using the area report.

You can also remove boxes individually. Simply right-click on the desired box and select the 'remove' option, making sure to check the “keep the elements on the map”.

Additionally, you can add endpoints back to the cables at any time. Just open the information tab, click “Add” under the first or second endpoint field, and then click on the element you want to connect—whether it’s a POP, box, or vertical building.
