The users tab allows you to set the access of all your co-workers on the modules OZmap, OZloc, or OZmob. To access it, you need to click on the left side menu on the “Users” tab, which will open a list containing all users registered.

Creating a User

Creating users is a fundamental tool because login into two different devices in a single user is impossible. Also, when you access a module in a tab of your computer, this will be the only user logged in. That means that if you want to, for example, access OZmap by logging in as a user and accessing OZloc with another, in the same browser, one of them will be logged out. If you need to be logged into two different users,  we recommend using another browser or an incognito window.

To register a new user, you must click on the “New User” button located at the bottom of your screen.

By doing that, a new tab for user registration will open up, and you must insert the information of the person who’s going to work with this access

First, it’s necessary to register a new username, email address, and password. Those fields are mandatory, therefore they present the “*” sign. The password can be written manually or generated automatically for the user, who will receive an email with the information to change the password. For that, you can click or unclick the “Generate password”  box.

.

Then, it will be necessary to assign a User Type.

User Types

OZmap works with the Role concept.

By registering a new user, the Role is assigned to it. That role will regulate your access to parts of the system. By pattern, the system has 7 pre-created Roles, being:

  • Administrator - Has full access to the system.

  • Manager - Similar to the administrator, although not allowed to edit User settings, import, delete, or download backups.

  • Seller -  Standard user to access OZloc. It can edit general client settings, buildings, properties, and prospects, and also visualize boxes, poles, and edit cables.

  • Network Technician - Responsible for the network, the Network Technician is allowed to create and edit projects, but not delete them. It can also visualize, edit, create, and import all elements, not getting access only to managing information, like system configuration and Dashboard data.

  • Field Technician - Responsible for activating the clients, they’re allowed to add, edit, and delete them, and also visualize basic elements, edit boxes, create and delete poles.

  • Monitor - The monitor has its resources restricted to visualization, they’re allowed to consult all elements of the system, without editing or visualizing them internally.

  • Support - It is allowed to visualize basic information and edit clients.

Projects

A user can have its access restricted to determined projects, which must be selected at “Projects” when created or at the Project data. It is also possible to provide a user free access to all projects, by clicking on the “All projects” button. In this case, the user will also be able to access even the projects created after they’ve received this permission.

Modules

Besides OZmap there’s an ecosystem of external modules. It is possible to provide access to only part of the modules to a user. For example, a user can access OZloc (commercial viability software) but not OZmap.

  • OZmap: OZmap system;

  • OZloc: destined to sellers, for commercial viability analysis;

  • OZmob: Users who need to access the OZmob app for mobile;

  • API: to connect to other software using API.

.

API Key

The API key is available so you can use the system API without being necessary to log in (using a user and password). If you choose to generate the API key, the user will lose access to all the other modules, except the API module.

We recommend the application of the API key only for specific users on requests by API. You can visualize the specific settings for an API Key user by clicking here.

Other information

This field it’s completely optional and dedicated to the addition of complementary information of the user. Like name, telephone number, or any observation. It’s used only for records.

After finishing the editing, click on the “Save” button and it’s done.
